How to get started?
Let's discuss the process of starting flight training with AV8R UNLIMITED.

Discovery Flight
-
Schedule a Discovery flight to see if you even like flying in a small airplane
-
Go up with a flight instructor and get an introductory feeling to the way flight training will be
-
You are able to log this 1 hour flight in your log book

Medical Certificate
-
If your goal is to fly commercially, you will need to obtain a First Class Medical from an approved Aviation Medical Examiner (AME)
-
Follow this link by the FAA to find an AME near you...FAA AME Locator
-
-
If you simply wish to obtain your Private Pilots License and not fly commercially...a Third Class Medical is all you need.

Get Approved for Funding
-
Next step is to determine how you will pay for flight training
-
There are a number of options available...everything from paying cash from savings, pay as you go, obtain a personal loan from a reputable loan provider, using a Credit Card to gain points or miles, to using equity in your home for training.
-
We go into more detail here on the Private Pilot Training Page
-

Purchase Flight Training Equipment
